2030
An Urban Farm and Community Center for the Future 2030-50
Vertical farming is already in use on a small scale, but there is the potential for it to become a greater part of our urban landscape in the future. Not only will it give city dwellers access to a fresher diet, it will also reduce transportation costs on produce. Let's take a look at what it might be like in the year 2030 for urban dwellers.
The Pink House System
There are 45,000 vacant government buildings across the US. By the year 2030 the Pink House group has converted some of these buildings in urban areas.
So how do pink lights work?
The effect of blue light on plants is directly related to
chlorophyll production.
Red light is responsible for making plants flower and produce fruit. It’s also essential to a plant’s early life for seed germination, root growth, and bulb development. Reducing electric costs by 60%!

Now that we understand how it might work, we reviewed the cost benefit, and understand the environmental factors. Here are three ideas on how to integrate vertical farming into our everyday lives.

In Summary: Right now, when we think of a quick place to meet that is available across the globe, we might say Starbucks. We need more than that for business, families, and leisure. Let's move beyond "the box" to create a dynamic and impactful vision as new and exciting place for the community to meet and connect. This is a brief look at a concept for a green community oriented meeting place with multiple uses and values to various stakeholders. Although this quick view is essentially not much more than a basic concept, the point here is to show that we don't have to limit the vision. The reward to ALL involved will be on many levels.
Why not create the best community space possible?
